GAF is North America's Largest Roofing Manufacturer and now offering FREE & PAID training to anyone interested in starting a career in the roofing industry Class begins August 30th and will run through September 2nd and will take place in at the GAF Training Center in Downers Grove: 2600 Warrenville Rd #209, Downers Grove, IL 60515 The GAF Roofing Academy provides training in Residential/Steep slope roofing basics and fundamentals. The graduates of the program receive: - GAF Roofing Academy Certification -OSHA 10 Safety Certification -Completion of the program provides immediate opportunity for employment with local GAF Certified Contractors in the Chicago area Program Details: -This program will focus on teaching the basics of residential roofing and the GAF system -The graduates of the class will have the knowledge and skills to enter into the roofing industry. -Graduates will receive a certificate of completion as a GAF Roofing Academy Certified Graduate. -Upon Completion, graduates will have the opportunity to interview with our certified contractors and employers in the area for full-time employment. Placement in a new roofing career is free to all Roofing Academy Graduates. -Transportation to and from training facility is the responsibility of the attendee, and all attendees must be able to lift 40lbs. - $250 stipend will be paid to attendees upon completion of training. -Graduates will be provided a set of basic roofing hand tools for the entirety of the training. If graduate proves employment in Roofing industry following training, GAF will reward a $200 Home Depot gift card for personal tools -Light breakfast and lunch provided each day.
