Description

It's the end of the growing season and time to save seeds for next year! Piscataqua Seed Project is offering a workshop at the Kittery Land Trust’s Giving Garden on Saturday October 1, 2022. The garden is located at Nooney Farm, 22 Stevenson Road in Kittery. Several different techniques will be demonstrated and attendees are encouraged to bring seeds from their own garden to donate to our seed supply for 2023. The workshop will be held outside at the garden. In the event of rain, we will set up inside one of the empty greenhouses. Space Is Limited so sign up today! Those planning to attend should: - Wear appropriate shoes and clothing to be outside and get a bit messy - Bring any seed or overgrown vegetables from your own garden to be processed at the workshop. This event is free but donations for our seed inventory will be gladly accepted! The Piscataqua Seed Project is a community-based organization whose mission is to empower people to grow food locally and save heirloom seeds for future generations. We encourage the sharing of skills and knowledge and believe that a healthy food system is critical for creating resilient communities and connecting us to our cultural heritage.
