Please join Panhandle Health District for a free DITEP training with Officer Nick Knoll, Local Drug Recognition Expert with the Coeur d'Alene Police Department.
DITEP or Drug Impairment Training for Education Professionals is intended to provide school administrators, nurses, staff, counselors, and education professionals with a systematic approach to recognize and evaluate youth who may be using or impaired by drugs. This early recognition can provide opportunities for appropriate interventions and services.
This training will be held on Friday, September 30th from 8:00am to 1:00pm at Panhandle Health District.
Following DITEP, a Narcan training by Health Education Specialist Makenna Hunziker, will take place from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
This training will outline the signs of an opioid overdose, demonstrate how to administer the opioid overdose reversal drug, and provide a discussion on the role of harm reduction within local North Idaho substance use trends.
For those individuals staying to attend the Narcan training, lunch will be provided.
