About Us Locale is transforming the way residents support their local businesses and farms through aggregated weekly deliveries. Founded in May 2020, Locale has delivered over 30,000 orders and partnered with over 100 small businesses and farms while maintaining a full curation of its product line. We are hiring immediately for responsible part-time delivery drivers to distribute long-range deliveries all over the Bay Area (Carmel, Sacramento, SF, Oakland, Santa Cruz, Gilroy, etc) on Tuesdays and Saturdays. As a delivery driver for us, you play a critical role in being the bridge between local businesses and consumers. ### Position Responsibilities - Drive vehicles over specified routes or to selected destinations according to time schedules, complying with traffic regulations and transportation procedures to ensure that orders make it to their destination intact - Drive up to 350 miles round trip in one work day beginning in San Jose - Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (eg. driving at rush hour) - Ability to effectively communicate with managers and coworkers on work-related issues in a timely manner - Deliver a variety of food items (up to 30 pounds) to different addresses and through different routes - Load and unload vehicle with various different orders - Ability to navigate your route and deliver orders from the warehouse to customer homes - Collect boxes and ice packs left out by customers from previous deliveries and take them to a designated location after route - Maintain a polite and professional demeanor to customers and coworkers ### Position Requirements - Must be 18 years of age - Must be willing to drive up to 350 miles round trip in one work day - A personal vehicle to use for deliveries (no pick up trucks or small sedans) - Valid driver’s license - Vehicle insurance - Good driving record with no traffic violations - Pursuing highschool degree or higher - Familiarity with GPS devices - Availability to work on Saturdays - Ability to lift over 20 pounds ### Benefits - We are an energetic, rapidly growing food delivery startup! - Average pay is $25+/hr plus tips - Opportunities for additional bonuses - Flexible working hours
