Why Pro Tools ? Why not Logic or Ableton? Answer is that all of the current DAW software do basically the same thing. We could go back and forth all day on the pros and cons. But why do the major industry heavyweights use Pro Tools to record all of the biggest stars? Why are all the big major label music on the radio and in the hottest Spotify playlists mixed on Pro Tools? Why are ALL major motion pictures mixed on Pro Tools? Because if you're an industry heavyweight, you use the best. And Pro Tools is the best. It's that simple really. I hear from people all the time that Pro Tools seems too difficult to learn. That is hard to believe since I actually think Pro Tools is the easiest DAW software to learn. That's because Pro Tools makes no assumptions on how you want to work. Logic and Ableton are both designed with a pre determined work flow. So if you want to work THAT way, then great.
