To the biker I saw today along Shepherd Canyon Road at 6:45pm - our eyes locked for a fleeting moment but it happened too quickly for me to even raise my hand for a wave. My heart was beating quickly, likely caused by lingering adrenaline brought on by the naval aviation film that I was returning from. Your skin was fair, likely protected by a recent twilight application of sunscreen. It was clear that you're strong, given how far ahead of your bike riding companion you were. I'll be on the lookout for you and better prepared for a wave or a shout next time. Until then.
