Night Sweeping Supervisor As a Night Sweeping Supervisor employed by Alff Construction, you will be responsible for the employees, routes, scheduling and performance of parking lot sweeping. The sweeps will occur overnight so it is imperative to be able to respond to questions/emergencies in the late night hours. This position will also be in charge of tracking employee hours and maintaining vehicles. You should also be detail-oriented, hands-on and knowledgeable of general labor equipment and safety regulations. You are able to interpret site routes as well as demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities Include: Supervising and instructing the employees on their routes and making sure they are completed in an efficient and timely manner Making sure employees perform quality work that meets the customer and owner’s expectations Reporting to upper management the daily tasks delegated to your team Ability to put together weekly schedule for crews Ability to lead 3 to 4 separate crews at a time Maintaining an accurate record of employee attendance Evaluating the performance of employees and instituting disciplinary measures as needed Recommending changes to sweeping operations or procedures to increase efficiency Oversee day to day operations of the facility Handle emergencies appropriately according to established procedures; prepare and file accident reports Communicate with customers regarding services Set project goals and oversee projects to completion; schedule and track assignments Required Skills/Abilities: Proven experience working as a Site Supervisor Sound knowledge of general construction and construction safety regulations Extensive knowledge of Lawn service for commercial properties Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment Outstanding leadership skills Ability to think critically to solve problems in the moment Strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Strong project management abilities Confidence to thrive under pressure Valid Driver's License Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering or related field is preferred. Background in property maintenance or landscaping is preferred, but not required.
