Sheltie Male - Rigby Petite in Size

Description
We have a Male Sheltie that we are regrettably rehoming. He is such a good natured dog as most Shelties are. We have sold our home and are relocating out of state and into a rental situation. Rigby deserves a yard and Montana. Looking for the right home for him, preferably one that is familiar with Shelties. We purchased him as a puppy from Salt Lake City Utah and had asked for his AKC papers as we thought the $850 included those, but the owners never sent the papers and after many attempts we eventually gave up. He weighs only about 15 pounds and has petite features. He is comfortable with older children and is sociable with others on the trail, he greets other dogs that come by to greet him through our wire fence. He has had all of his shots and is great health. His birthday is 11/2017 (4 years 8 months old). Extremely smart and loves: hiking, popcorn, food that is dog friendly that humans like, running through a spraying hose. He understands commands such as: Sit, roll over, spin, shake, go to the kennel, he is still in the process of learning how to say "hi" in a whispery voice. He understands the command "get mad" by growling. He gets very excited at the mention of popcorn, so much that we have to spell it sometimes when we are proposing it as an option for the evening snack. Very cute and funny. When he hikes he lets my husband lead and he prances proudly behind and once in a while will look back at me, the alpha female to make sure I am okay. Does well on the leash and responds to the command wait and hold while others pass during hiking trips. He is a very polite eater, when given his bowl of food, he will sit and wait for us to clap twice and then he will dig in. When hand feeding him, he understands the term "gentle" and takes food extremely slow, makes us laugh every time. Small homing fee to the right family. Rehoming fee will include his food, kennel, pet beds, toys, shot records, and grooming tools, We would like for him to go to a stable home, one with a fenced yard to allow him to run around safely. We want him to be loved as much as he is now, he will be truly missed. Please reply with details of your situation and we will set up a meeting with Rigby.
