In the United States we see extremely high rates of infant deaths for Black American babies. We walk to bring attention to this cause and raise awareness about the work being done locally to combat this issue in our community.
Walk with us! You can join us as we reopen our building for the first time in two years! We'll be meeting at the Kansas City Health Department at 2400 Troost Ave. and make our way to Uzazi Village at 4232 Troost Ave. If you're not in the area, grab a BIMAW shirt and plan your own route in solidarity!
We ask that participants purchase a shirt to support the event and also present as a unified group. Shirts can be purchased through registration at $15. Shirts will be available for pick up on Wednesdays leading up to the event as well as on the morning of the walk.
In the registration note, please add t shirt quantity, size(s) needed, and the appropriate amount for the shirt quantity ordered .
