This five-day intensive program, based on the Security Risk Management Body Of Knowledge (SRMBOK) is designed to provide security managers and consultants with a solid foundation for managing security in any environment. The course is intensive, demanding, and designed to take your security risk management expertise to the next level. It is delivered as a 4-day residential program with the SRMBOK Professional certification exam delivered on the morning of the 5th day. The course runs from 8 am to 10 pm for the first four days. There will be homework and pre-reading every evening. The schedule for Monday to Thursday will be: 08:00 to 16:00 face-to-face group training 16:00 to 18:00 self-study and assignments19:00 to 21:00 dinner with an evening guest presentationThursdayWHO SHOULD ATTEND This course is designed for government and private sector security personnel, including security consultants, Agency Security Advisers, and Chief Security Officers. The core documents for this training are: ISO31000 Risk Management Guidelines (ISO31000)Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)Security Risk Management Body Of Knowledge (SRMBOK)The training is equally suitable for security risk professionals working in the commercial sector or the government sector. PRE-REQUISITES The program is intensive, with significant prior knowledge and experience required. Attendees should have at least five years of security risk management experience. Attendees should also be familiar with ISO31000 Risk Management Guidelines, and the principles of security governance, information security, cybersecurity, physical security, personnel security, and insider threat management. To fill in any gaps, attendees may wish to attend our training courses on these topics before attending this training course. The strategic approach to applying security risk assessment, treatment, and management across the enterprise.DAY 5 - 09:00 to 13:00 SRMBOK Professional Certification exam followed by lunch then departureABOUT THE TRAINERS The training will feature several presenters including guest speakers from industry and government. Your lead trainer will be Julian Talbot. Julian is the author of several books on security and risk management, including lead author of the Security Risk Management Body of Knowledge and author of the Security Risk Management Aide-Mémoire. His experience includes developing and managing $60 million international security risk management programs, leading security and emergency teams of up to 200 people, as well as enterprise security risk assessments (ESRA) for organizations such as the Australian Department of Defence, Department of Agriculture, Water, and Environment, Australian Antarctic Division, Australian Trade Commission, and the $24 billion NW Shelf Gas Project. Clients include the United Nations Office of Counter Terrorism (UNOCT), Aspen Medical, IMX Resources, Australian Department of Defence, ACT Government, Advisian, and Woodside.
