Moped STOLEN When: Overnight 8/18/22 Where: In front of 1530 N Kedzie Blvd Make/Model: Genuine Buddy 50 cc / 2022 Color: Olive & Cream Color THEFT ALERT: Have you seen my moped?? My scooter stolen overnight in front of 1530 N Kedzie Blvd in Humboldt Park on 8/18/22. It’s a Genuine Buddy Scooter 50cc, Olive & Cream color with a trunk in the back. I’m heartbroken over this. Not only was my scooter my main mode of transportation, it’s a joy to ride around, AND I use it for work, so now I’m out of a job :( The thieves attempted to steal two other scooters parked in front of the same building. They broke the steering column and stole the ignition system from another scooter and abandoned it in the park 1/4 mile away. You all are the eyes and ears of the community. Any and all help locating this vehicle would be greatly appreciated!! If you have security footage from Kedzie Ave in particular over night, it would be such a big help to see if you can spot anything overnight on your security cameras. If seen, please contact me ASAP with location and any identification of persons associated. Note: DO NOT approach anyone on or near stolen vehicles.
