Summary: Drives company vehicle, makes pickups and deliveries, receives, checks in, stores, and distributes materials, tools, supplies, equipment, and products by performing the following duties: Essential Functions: • Operates company-owned vehicle legally and safely. • Follows all safety procedures established and adheres to policies set forth in the employee hand book. • Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device. • Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules. • Conducts equipment safety and mechanical inspections as instructed. • Loads and unloads trucks/containers as needed and ensures proper documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments. • Maintains supply stock (strapping, bozes, tape, lebels, etc.) and reports to supervisor when in need of re-stock. • Maintains an orderly and clean work space. • Reads production schedule, or other standing work order to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed as needed. • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage, inventory or to other designated areas as needed. • Sorts and organizes materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size or type or compatibility. Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms if needed. • Completes work orders or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production. • Records amounts of materials received or distributed and performs physical inventories/cycle counting ingredients and packaging as necessary or applicable. • Uses computer to enter or review records as needed. • Prepares obsolete or defective ingredients or packaging for disposal/recycle and/or return. • Opens bales, crates, and other containers as needed. Receives after verification of condition and correctness, orders from vendors as needed. • Processes orders to ensure quantities and items are correct. • Packages orders for shipping to final destination as instructed. • Picks up Will call orders as needed or instructed. • Delivers freight to courier ie: Tacoma, Coastal, AML, Northland, etc, as needed or instructed. • Manifests through established process all outbound freight. • Scans packing slips and bills of lading into computer. Additional Responsibilities: • Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings. • Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned. Job Requirements Experience: • Experience in similar food industry warehouse positions preferred. Education: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: • Must be forklift certified, or able to become forklift certified. • Must have a valid Washington State driver's license and good driving record. • Must be willing to train in all applicable company and/or regulatory training programs as needed to perform the functions of this position. • Drivers may be subject to additional random drug screens as required by WSDOT depending on vehicle. Preferred Training and Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; and able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Possess knowledge of warehousing and Inventory systems (bar coding/scanning). Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid or cold conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Mental Activities: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use customer service skills and frequently required to use teamwork and interpersonal skills
