Please join us for an interactive look into Harm Reduction. This presentation will touch on the history of Harm Reduction including policy and views surrounding drug use. There will also be a deep dive into the evidence behind harm reduction and why it is effective in working with individuals who use substances. Our presenter is Catherine Swanson, MPH, of Balanced Imperfections, LCC. Catherine has extensive lived experience and is a nationally recognized harm reduction expert and consultant who brings nearly twenty years of leadership experience to her work. As a leader, outreach worker, researcher, activist, counselor, coordinator and executive director. Catherine has worked tirelessly for harm reduction and with “hard to reach” populations including drug users, sex workers, folks dealing with serious mental health issues, trauma, burn-out and folks struggling with other compulsive behaviors.
