WHERE: Orlando MakerFX Center WHEN: Saturday, August 27, 2022 DURATION: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm ADMISSION: Free REGISTRATION: Register today to guarantee your spot USk Orlando's Sketch Tour will involve sketching the shops and activities at the MakerFX Maker Space in Orlando. We'll take a tour of the woodshop, metal shop, laser cutting areas, soft-materials area, and classroom, then split up so people can sketch the areas that most appeal to them. MakerFX is the maker space activity of the MakerFX Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports STEM education in Central Florida, provides design/build support for a host of other non-profit organizations, and produces Maker Faire Orlando. At Maker Faire Orlando, there will be "steam-roller printing." There will be the opportunity for attendees to make and take a steam-roller printed poster. After a couple of hours of sketching, we will run the Urban Sketchers' traditional Throwdown at the space. We will then proceed to a nearby restaurant for food and community (optional). The space is located at: MakerFX Makerspace 8600 Commodity Circle Suite 158 Orlando FL 32819 Bring your sketchbook and drawing supplies. (No easels, please). Come light gear. Tour is taking place indoors. Parking is on-site. REGISTRATION via Eventbrite is required!
