MIDDLETOWN, CT - A Middletown resident is $53,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket in the city late last week, according to the Connecticut Lottery. On December 31, Melvin Jenkins, of Middletown, purchased a PLAY4 DAY ticket from Sal's Package Store in Middletown and won $53,000.
