Changing Spaces Moving, Inc is a family-owned company founded in 2003. We do local moves around the Birmingham metro area and long distance moves around the country, mostly the southeast. We are a full-service mover that also does packing, internal moves, furniture delivery. We are looking to hire experienced movers and individuals that are capable and physically fit that can meet the daily requirements. We are looking for full and part time employees. All applicants (Helpers & Driver/Movers) must meet the following to be hired. We have no positions for drivers only, all drivers must carry their equal weight. -Clean background check, no felonies -Pass a drug screen -Must be physically fit and energetic, no loafers or phone addicts -Have valid driver’s license, driver applicants must have a clean MVR for driving position -Must have dependable transportation -Be able to pick up and carry heavy furniture -Must be friendly with a good attitude and have good communication skills -Must be punctual and dependable Starting pay is based on experience, availability and dependability: -Drivers with experience start at $20-$23/hr. Experience will be confirmed on the job. -Helpers with experience start at $18-$20/hr. Experience will be confirmed on the job. -Unexperienced Helpers and Drivers will start at $17/hr. Quick learners will earn more. -Once an employee qualifies for a driving position, they will get an immediate raise. Company pays half of single cost after 30 days. -Monthly incentive programs for qualifying employees. -Simple IRA with a company matches up to 3% after 30 days. -Daily tips. Our movers (depending on work ethic) make between $5-$10 per hour worked in tips. Students/Fireman/Part timers: We work around realistic schedules for part time workers. Many students work the hours they can during class semesters and full time on major holidays and summers.
