18-80yr. Part-time tour guide positions. Guides will have use of our Kayak scheduled tours they've chosen to accept. Minimum Requirement for our guides will be taking an Oscar Scherer State Park tour of south creek given by the park which is $16. THE $16 IS PAID DIRECTLY TO PARK SERVICE FOR THEIR TOUR: OFFERED ONCE A WEEK. This learning experience will qualify you to conduct a similar experience of tours which include South Creek; this also includes the safety measures addressed by the Park Ranger prior to departure. You have the freedom to make yourself a great fun business or just rely on scheduled tours that need a guide in your area. A small investment in yourself. We provide kayaks at designated launch sites. Currently there are 10 launch sites for tours Compensation= minimum 2 kayaks or 1 tandem tour for 2 hours =$50; $40 is paid to guide. 4 kayak guided tour for 2 hours =$100; $ 80 is paid to guide. Assumes the guide has their own kayak. If not add $5 per tour. This may fill recreational time with financial reward, making lifelong friends along the way. Our goal is to offer our special area through a different lens. Guides will meet at designated launch sites for tour. There are no minimum tours given to stay active as a guide; giving you the freedom to grab a tour at your choosing. We have special times for events and schedule free kayaking for first responders and veterans as a contribution to our community.
