I am in desperate need of help with my car. I purchased/financed a 2016 Kia optima and the engine has completely blown on it due to a recall, I do not have a warranty, and the car was preowned before I got it and the previous owner neglected the recall and never got it fixed. so now I am having to pay out of pocket for this repair. The car had issues with the “knock sensor detector” and never had the update that it needed causing the engine to blow. I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction of where I can purchase a brand new engine or even a remanufactured one that is in great/good condition. Dealerships and repair shops have quoted me at around $6,000-$9,000 for the replacement and i simply just can’t afford this.
