Former musical theatre pianist, now a techie looking for my accompaniment fix. Trying to host an afternoon at my place this Sunday: me at the piano and maybe 10-12 singers for drinks and doing showtunes for the entire evening! We definitely slant gay, but anyone’s welcome. Zero money exchanged and absolutely nothing required except you and your voice. We won’t stop you from bringing a bottle of wine or munchies if you insist, but seriously nbd if not. Wish I had a piano here, but I’ll have to settle for a pit-quality keyboard. It’s been a while, but for context, I’ve probably played at least a thousand performances. I subbed for Next to Normal with three days’ notice and Songs for a New World with one week’s notice, so I am a legit sight reader (or at least was—we’ll find out!). This is Craigslist, so if you’re interested, we’ll need to do a phone screen. 21+ because we don’t want to keep track of who’s drinking what. House rules are that everyone gets applause and zero criticism. That said, this is probably best for people who have a few shows under their belt or are students in a theatre program somewhere.
