SSP is looking for General Laborers and/or Pipelayers for our underground utility division. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Locate existing underground utilities by hand digging (potholing) • Install underground waterlines, sanitary sewer lines and storm sewer lines • Backfill waterlines, sanitary sewer lines and storm drain lines utilizing vibratory plates, tampers, (jumping jacks) and remote-controlled trench compactors • General labor and other construction activities as assigned. SAFETY • Promote, execute and adhere to SSP safety program • Wear required PPE • OSHA 10 hour safety training (preferred) but can be obtained upon hire • Attend regular safety trainings. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/PREFERRED SKILLS • Able to work well with others • Punctual Attendance and Dependability • 2 years prior experience preferred • Knowledge of hand and power tools utilized for underground pipe installation • Physically able to twist, scoop, bend, kneel, ascend ladders, descend ladders, and walk on uneven ground. • Valid Driver’s License • Must be able to pass background check to work on Military installations BENEFITS • Medical/Dental/Vision/Life/Accident Insurance (benefits eligible after 60 days) • Company Observed Paid Holidays after 90 days • PTO; 40 hrs. after a year • IRA; eligible after a year; 3% match **Please stop by our office to apply in person or text 210-868-0166 for your questions** 3453 Pam Am Expressway Unit 113 San Antonio, Texas 78219 (Right next to NOVA Medical Center in the Plaza/Across from the Splash Town)
