American Mulch Producers is a wholesale mulch production company located in Southfield, MI. During the summer months, we are producing, selling, and delivering bulk mulch to local garden centers, supply yards, landscapers, and homeowners. We recycle clean logs and wood chips all year round and recycle leaves during the fall. During the winter months, we are a bulk and bagged salt supplier open 24-hours during inclement weather. We are a family-owned business seeking a self-motivated, hardworking, Laborer to join our team. If hired, you’ll be a vital part of our crew, helping support mulch production, equipment maintenance and grounds maintenance. Responsibilities and Duties: Greasing and routine maintenance on loaders and trucks Washing equipment and cleaning the interior Responsible for all ground maintenance including removal of brush and trees, picking up trash from grounds, shoveling material Assist mechanic and yard manager/production team with projects as assigned Ability to lift, carry and move 50lbs Our Requirements: Roll up your sleeves and get dirty at times Reliable transportation to and from work Valid driver’s license Ability to follow basic directions and complete assigned task quickly and efficiently. Ability to adapt to change in the workplace such as working different schedules, assignments, shifts, or work at various paces Ability to work in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner with people regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, disability, etc. Willingness to learn and lend a helping hand with miscellaneous projects as they arise Follow all safety guidelines *Overtime and weekends are required depending on the season *Experience operating heavy equipment such as Front End Loaders/Wheel Loaders a plus (CAT 906, CAT 930G, CAT 930H, VOLVO L50, VOLVO L120) *Pay based on experience Benefits: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan/Blue Care Network health insurance VSP Vision Vacation Time 401K Profit Sharing Program Weekly pay Job Type: Full-time Salary: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
