Hi there! We are a new local band here in Bend working on getting off the ground. We’re currently mixing up a five-song demo tape we recorded this spring, we’ve put together the bones of a live set, and we’re hoping to start playing local shows come this fall. Our vocalist/lyricist recently got an exciting opportunity and will be leaving town for it, and while we are happy for her, it looks like we will be without a singer come September. The other four of us (guitarist, bassist, keyboard player, drummer) are looking to find a singer/songwriter to take up vocals for the band. We’re still getting our sound down and we’re excited to try things out and experiment with different genres of music. What we have made so far has leaned towards Garage Rock, RnB, and Synthpop sounds. If you reply to this email, we're happy to send you over some of our demos so you can get an idea of what we sound like. We really value each person's unique perspective on making music and try to create a space where we everyone feels like they can pitch ideas and have a stake in the band. We are open to potentially changing/rewriting the vocal parts of existing songs. We’re ideally looking for someone that would write their own vocal parts and lyrics for new songs, but if someone is solely interested in singing and not writing lyrics, we could be up for making lyric-writing a more collaborative process with other members of the band. We would like to find someone who lives in the area, is available to practice around 2 times a week, and can gig around once a month in Bend. Vocalists of all genders are welcome to reach out.
