Description
SUDDENLY YOU KNOW IT’S TIME TO START SOMETHING NEW
Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning technicians, also noun as HVAC tech, work on heating, ventilation, cooling, and refrigeration systems that control the temperature of buildings and homes. Their work may be installing new systems in a newly developed building or repairing and maintaining already installed systems.
HVACR systems have become more complex nowadays. For this reason, employers prefer applicants with a certificate who are also licensed. Our graduates in the HVAC Technician 220-hour program acquire a working knowledge of the heating and cooling cycles and various phases of the fundamental principles of controls and electrical systems associated with HVAC systems. They also learn the principles and concepts associated with the EPA Section 608 Certificate and, when they successfully pass the EPA examination, they earn their EPA 608 Certificate, OSHA 10 hour Certificate, and R-410 A Safety Certificate, and HVAC Excellence Air-Conditioning and Heat Pump Certification.
NIU College is an approved testing site for HVAC Excellence, so our graduates can take the HVAC Excellence State Licensing Test right here at our campus.
Classes are starting soon
