Hello, Looking for a person to assist me with various events that I DJ around North East Ohio generally no more than 60 minutes from 44221. I mostly do Weddings and Private Events and the job would be to assist me with loading my equipment in and out of the venue, set up and break down of equipment, set up and break down uplighting fixtures (not all events will require them). While the event is going on you will be my eyes and ears of our surroundings, able to help out with interacting with guests, gathering the bridal party for introductions and getting parents prepared for their dance with their children, looking out for and communicating with me during wedding ceremonies so I know when to switch songs for various portions. Pack up and return ceremony system to vehicle. Also if you are willing to learn about the business and how it works that would be a plus. You must be available for weekends primarily Saturday is when I do most of my events, must be able to lift 35 pounds, I have a flat bed that we will roll into the venue but there’s rare times that we have to contend with stairs. Must be able to dress appropriate (dress pants and polo for most or business professional if female) Most events are 4 - 5 hours but there are some for 6-8 hours which will include ceremony. I generally allow for 2 hours for setup (much rather be relaxed and organized waiting for the guests to arrive rather than they wondering if We are going to show up) break down is much quicker (30 minutes or less)and will get even faster as you learn. A meal, snacks and soft drinks and water will be provided. Pay will be $80-$150 per event depending upon the event. It’s not guaranteed to be every week this is the type of business that it is you get the work as I get it. Females encouraged to apply.
