We manage and lease our own properties, specializing in industrial space with a portfolio that also includes retail, office space, and residential holdings. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Asheboro, North Carolina team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing necessary maintenance on residential units. This position offers competitive pay. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. What you'll do in a typical day: • Fixing doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures; drywall, floor and subfloor repair, and perform general maintenance; minor plumbing and electrical duties as needed. • Utilize a variety of hand-tools and specialty equipment such as power tools, circular saw, reciprocating saw, etc. • Interact with customers to ensure proper and accurate communications exist. • Document all work performed by accurately completing work orders, equipment log sheets, etc. • Complete and submit all required paperwork on a timely basis. What you need to succeed at Schwarz Properties: • Three to five years experience in residential property maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. • Positive work ethic (punctuality, dependability, hard-working, positive attitude, team player). • Valid North Carolina Driver’s license. • Pass a comprehensive background and drug test. • Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
