Friday night I flew in after a week with friends. What a great time. I got some nice gifts, a few Boston Red Sox jerseys, a custom woodwork piece a friend spent forever on. All in my checked baggage. Also past gifts, an initialed toiletry bag from a good friends wedding.
The bag drops around 6:50, and after wishing a friend good luck in their next flight, I get there at 6:52. Someone has already grabbed my bag and ran out. This dooms me to two hours hanging out and working to file a claim, and then being annoyed when my wife picks me up instead of happy.
Who does this? Are three jerseys and a scuffed pair of running shoes going to be worth it? It can’t be a mistake, since my number and name is all over the bag. I’ve had people grab my bag then bring it back an hour later. Now I have work travel and Have to get a new bag while mine sits in a dumpster because it didn’t have anything you could pawn?
