Fancy Faces Face Painting is Hiring!! We are looking to hire artistic people who love kids to paint faces at the Oklahoma State Fair and future events and festivals. Most events and festivals are Friday-Sunday but weekday availably for the State Fair is a BIG plus. If you are hired there will be a training where we will teach painting techniques as well as Fancy Faces specific designs. After training you will be sent home with a kit for practice, and you will be required to send pictures of your progress in a timely manner. You will need to practice on your own time and send examples of your work to be given pointers and tips. We have separate pay for festivals and gigs (birthday parties, corporate events, etc.) For festivals, we have a base pay of $9 an hour plus an additional amount for each face you paint. Employees usually make between $13-$16 an hour, plus tips, depending on speed, crowd, and weather. If you show quality work at a reasonable speed and good work ethic during the fair, you will be offered gigs at a fixed hourly rate- $25-$30 an hour. Gigs tend to be 1-4 hours. You MUST work festivals to book fixed rate events. This is a part time job (if you can even call it that). We have a busy Spring festival season, the fair is our biggest event of the year, and October is very busy. We offer gigs throughout the year with busy and slow seasons.
