WARNING! DO NOT HIRE, Mike the Mobile Mechanic: Mike Van Alstine. Supposedly lives in Simla, CO. Also goes by the name of Joshua. Said he is a Military Vet -Navy. I doubt his integrity. Current Law: Right now under the federal Stolen Valor Act of 2005, it is a misdemeanor to impersonate a veteran After researching his name and sending/giving him too much money for parts and him demanding more, flags started popping up. My jeep is not fixed, it is worse now! I gave him $750.00 for parts, I see nothing new! My dad also had work done on his car, gave him $200, Mike wanted more, but it's not done! He broke everything down, seemed professional, but when he said he would send an invoice, and I had to ask multiple times for it, he lied and said it was sent! No receipts, he showed me no actual parts in hand, no new parts in the jeep, no invoice, nothing! Take this guy out, there is a list of folks he's taken money from online. The phone # I have for him is, Research first, fast-talking scam artists don't care about your situation, your finances, nor you as a fellow human being! We try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but look where it gets us!
