Description
The Clarksville Amateur Transmitting Society (C.A.T.S.) is hosting a 10 week Amateur Radio Technician License class at the American Red Cross 1760 Madison Street Tuesday nights beginning Sept 6th and ending Nov 8th from 6pm until 8pm. In this course, you will learn about basic electronics, make simple circuits, be introduced to Morse code, and learn with others in a classroom environment on all that is needed to pass the FCC Amateur Radio Technician License. Upon receipt of your unique identification (call sign), your new license will give you access to a wide array of communication techniques such as voice communication, digital communication (think internet without wires), and even satellite communication! The boundaries are nearly limitless but it all starts with your license exam.
So, if you are intrigued by tinkering with electronics, have a desire to help others in need, or like the thought of having an additional means of communicating next to your cell phone and email then Amateur Radio is for you. Seats are limited and reservations can be made at the following link:
***Pre-registration is required in order to attend as seats are limited***
