Join us for Conversations for Change: Helping Students Graduate, the first in a series of exclusive quarterly discussions from United Way experts on local community issues and how you can help make a difference. This quarter, we’ll open up the floor to chat about our work focused on breaking down barriers so that young people in our community can pursue both their education and their dreams. We also look forward to taking any questions you may have and your suggestions on how we can do better, together. 6 out of 10 community college students leave without a degree through no fault of their own. But we’ve also seen what a little basic needs support from the community can do to help them stay in school and make significant strides toward breaking the cycle of poverty. Join in to see how we can help more students graduate together. Light appetizers, beer and wine from Kristi Brown (Communion, That Brown Girl Cooks) will be served.
