The Northern California Neuroscience Symposium: Insights & Innovations is back! Physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and pharmacists this educational activity is for you. Come and listen to lectures from the Neuroscience Institute's multiple sclerosis, migraine treatment, and epilepsy experts. Learners will have the opportunity to work through cases in real-time with the physicians and their colleagues in small group discussions. Take advantage of asking the experts your most burning questions. After completing this educational activity, the learners should be able to consider the impact of disease-modifying therapies on vaccinations schedules in order to monitor patient safety of multiple sclerosis treatment plans; recognize the signs and symptoms of multiple sclerosis to prompt testing, and refer appropriately to begin treatment; differentiate seizure disorders from other diagnoses; prescribe acute and preventative CGRP-targeted therapy for the treatment of migraine; identify when to refer a patient to an epileptologist for video EEG monitoring and a higher level of care. Learners will leave this symposium with new strategies to identify and treat multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and migraine at the earliest stages.
