This will be our first retreat since 2019, and we are excited to reconnect and continue our spiritual growth together. After feedback indicated that members wished to have retreats more often than every two years, we will now be offering an annual retreat for our members, with the format alternating between a single-day event on even years and an extended, three-day retreat on odd years. We will commence with a single-day retreat at the National Shrine of St. Francis Xavier Cabrini, and it promises to be a faith-filled and spiritually refreshing day. Location, retreat specifics, pricing, schedule, parking information, and the registration are as follows: Location:The National Shrine of St. Francis Xavier Cabrini 2520 N. Lakeview Ave. Chicago, IL 60614 Retreat Specifics--Theme, Retreat Master, and Dress:Time: 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Theme: "Reflections on the Beatitudes" Retreat Master: Fr. Gregory Bim-Merle of the Diocese of Gary, Indiana Dress: Casual or Business/Smart Casual. Robes will not be worn at Mass. Pricing: Cost is $100/person. The retreat fee includes the Shrine location, parking, lunch, stipend for our retreat master and the docent-led tour. Retreat Schedule:The schedule for our retreat is as follows: 9:00 A.M. - Coffee and breakfast pastry reception 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. - First talk with Fr. Greg 11:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. - Free time 12:00 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. - Lunch 1:30 P.M. to 2:45 P.M. - Second talk, plus Q&A 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. - Docent-led tour of the Shine and the reliquary of St. Francis Xavier Cabrini 4:00 P.M. - Vigil Mass (optional) for the Twenty-fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time Parking Information:Parking is available at no charge next door to the Shrine at the garage for the condominiums at 2550 N. Lakeview Ave. The garage entrance is on Deming Place, directly across the street from 462-460 W. Deming Place. Look for the small sign that reads: "Private Parking." Press the button on the intercom, and let the attendant know that you are visiting the Shrine. Park in any spot marked "Church Parking" on the main floor. If these spots are full, speak with the attendant, who will locate a parking spot for you. When exiting the garage after parking, use the St. James Place pedestrian entrance at the southwest corner of the garage. Once outside, head left to the Shrine entrance.
