Fort Worth Tarrant County NAACP will host the 45th Annual Dr. George D. Flemmings Memorial Freedom Fund Celebration Friday, October 21, 2022 at 6:45pm at the Fort Worth Convention Center - Ballroom. This year's theme is: A Fair Deal: Housing and the American Dream and will feature Secretary Marcia L. Fudge, U.S. Housing and Urban Development. The Freedom Fund Celebration will feature the organization’s accomplishments to promote equality and the steps needed to eliminate racial and social injustice in our community. The prolonged COVID-19 health crisis continues to cause great stress to all; however, the Fort Worth Tarrant County NAACP continues to make an impact with our important work. The Fort Worth Tarrant County NAACP has been the premier civil rights advocate to end systemic racism for over 88 years in our community. The organization has made great progress; however, our mission today is as relevant a it was in 1909 when the NAACP national office was first founded.
