Description
Cycle Out Cancer started in 2021 as a shared vision for the community to be able to come together and ride to raise funds and awareness for innovating cancer research. We have decided to continue that journey and invite you to come alongside us to participate. On September 9th - September 10th, for 24 hours straight, Bolt Culture will be hosting Cycle Out Cancer in the heart of Dallas at the AT&T Discovery District. The cycle is split into 30-minute intervals. Each rider will power one of our stationary bikes for 30 minutes and ask their friends and family to donate to the cause. We will keep the bike powered for 24-Hours straight! If you would like to sign up as a rider, please select the link here. Cycle Out Cancer is a fundraiser to support an organization based in Colombus, OH. Called, Pelotnia. What is Pelotonia? Pelotonia is an organization dedicated to innovating cancer research. 100% of the proceeds raised by our riders, will go straight to innovating cancer research and changing real lives. A young man, Kyle Stepp shared his story at Pelotonia this year. He was 28 years young and an amputee. He fought his battle with cancer and came out on the other side. He quotes, ''If it wasn't for Pelotonia and if I had been born Five years earlier, I wouldn't be alive today.'' Stop and think about that. Five years of cancer innovation is the difference between him being able to survive. Why do we cycle for 24 - Hours? Because cancer never stops, so neither should we. We should continue with love, support, funding, awareness, and cycling in this case. We ask that each rider fills out their first and last name, and an active email. After the rider has created their profile, we ask that they begin to fund their ride. (Suggested $100) Once the rider has started funding they will be emailed a link to choose their 30-Minute time slot to ride for the cause. Click here to begin your ride! If you would like to donate towards a ride or to sponsor a rider, please click the link and choose a name to donate to. Thank you for helping us take one more step to END CANCER! Check out our recap video from last year here.
