Join PBS Charlotte for a FREE preview of Ken Burns’s new documentary, The U.S. and the Holocaust, and PBS Charlotte’s local documentary, The Holocaust: Carolina Stories of Remembrance, Tuesday, September 13 at 6:30 p.m. in Central Piedmont’s Parr Center. A raffle and dessert reception will follow. The U.S. and the Holocaust is a three-part, six-hour series directed by Ken Burns, Lynn Novick and Sarah Botstein, that examines America’s response to one of the greatest humanitarian crises of the twentieth century. The Holocaust: Carolina Stories of Remembrance is the newest addition to PBS Charlotte’s Living History Documentary Series, weaving first-hand stories of the atrocities of the Holocaust with local educational efforts to remind people of how destructive hate can be.
