Ever wonder why so many nature photographers hang out at Wilde Lake? It’s because it’s a haven for songbirds and waterfowl. Learn more about them at a beginner-level Wilde Lake Bird Walk. Limit of 12 participants. We will seek migrants and resident birds, and with luck water birds may be observed. Bring binoculars and water. Our leader is Kurt Schwarz, a retired employee of the DOD who has been birding since 1994. He is the past president of the Howard County Bird Club and is former Conservation Chair for both the Maryland Ornithological Society and the Howard County Bird Club.
