Grace Marie Wallace was born & raised in Worcestershire England, and started studying classical piano & flute at age 11. After moving to the US, she became involved with Interplay Jazz & Arts organization where she discovered her love for Jazz vocals. She's had the privilege to study with Jazz vocalists Madeline Kole & Natalia Bernal, and for the past 3 years has been performing in the Upper Valley Area of NH & VT. Legendary local jazz artist and educator, saxophonist & keyboardist Fred Haas taught Wallace at the Interplay camp, and is featured this evening. Haas helped introduce Grace to the band that accompanies her at Hermit Woods: Mark Shilansky (piano), Bronek Suchanek (bass), and Les Harris Jr (drums), all jazz faculty at the University of New Hamphire and other local schools and universities, and in-demand performers in their own right. Each performance will provide you with an intimate, up-close, and personal experience with the performing artists. To do this, we ask that our audience please refrain from talking during the featured show. Your silence will allow both the artists and the audience to immerse themselves in the experience, which is not otherwise possible in larger, noisier environments. All shows commence at 6:00 PM with a warm-up artist, David Lockwood on piano. We encourage you to arrive early and enjoy food and wine until 7:20 while listening to our first act of the evening. The kitchen will close at 7:00. We will introduce the featured artists at 7:20, and we will ask that the audience remain quiet during the performance. The first set will be from 7:30 to 8:15. There is a short intermission from 8:15 to 8:30, at which time you are encouraged to interact, freshen your drinks, and use the restrooms as needed. At 8:30, the show resumes with the second set, concluding between 9:00 and 9:15. After the show, we invite you to interact with the artists and purchase any music or merchandise offerings if available. 6:00 PM - 7:20 PM - Eat, drink, and be merry.
