Join the Texas African American Museum Second Annual Black History Month Gala with guest Mr. Billy O'Quinn.Billy O’Quinn is currently the Director of Supply Chain-Chemical Division for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. A highly respected executive in the Manufacturing Industry and Corporate with over 30 years with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Billy is a servant leader in the community and corporate America mentoring young diverse leaders and youth. His motto is simple “Work Hard and Stay Humble”. Because, all you have in this world is your name and you must protect your brand.Prior to accepting the role of Director of Supply Chain, Billy led numerous corporate and manufacturing teams within Goodyear North America. Billy has lived in eight different states and held seventeen different leadership positions within Goodyear. His most humbling experience was in 2015… Billy was appointed Vice President of Goodyear’s Black Network Employee Resource Group from its inception where he served three terms with the responsibility for recruiting and maintaining new members through mentorship and coaching. Outside of Goodyear, he has always been very active with his family and involved within the church in the places he has lived. He has served as a youth minster and deacon, avid volunteer, mentor and community supporter. He was recognized by Ohio Governor, John Kasich as a model mentor for his contributions to students in Akron, Ohio local high schools and the Boys and Girls Club. Billy has served as a board member for The Urban League, The NAACP – 3rd Vice President, Akron Summit Community Action (ASCA), Summit County Diversity & Inclusion Council, Leadership Akron Alumni Association, And a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. O’Quinn holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology from Prairie View A&M University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Webster University. He is a certified coach, trainer and speaker of the John C. Maxwell advanced leadership and professional development program. A 2016 graduate of Diversity on Board from Leadership Akron, Ohio.A native of Henderson Texas (Six Mile Hill Community). Billy and his family relocated from Canton, Ohio to Houston in 2019.
