Recognizing sonic warriors and their contributions to national defense, The Sonic Warrior highlights how a small group of fighter pilots solved one of aviation's greatest challenges. Your ticket includes a copy of the book! You will also get a preview of The Sonic Warrior film. Additionally, we will honor all who serve or have served aboard aircraft carriers such as this one, operating at the tip-of-the-spear. This will be a commemorative, patriotic event you will long remember! Tour the USS Midway Museum, one of our greatest aircraft carrier museums, experience spectacular views of the San Diego Bay, enjoy delicious food, and have the opportunity to get your copy of the book The Sonic Warrior: Chronicles of a Top Gun Pioneer autographed by Captain Kevin Smith! Event Overview: 5:45 pm - Registration 6:30 pm - Program Begins (including the Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem, the Navy Hymn, and special guests) 7:00 pm - Reception and Private Docent Tours of the USS Midway 8:30 pm - Book Signing Available 9:00 pm - Event Concludes Note: There is a parking area located on Navy Pier adjacent to the USS Midway Museum. This lot is owned and operated by the Port of San Diego for passenger vehicles only. Parking rates are generally $10 , but are subject to change at the discretion of Ace Parking and the Port of San Diego. Metered parking is also available on city streets adjacent to the USS Midway Museum.
