Please join us to celebrate Ganesh Chathurthi with Kids. It is in our tradition to start a new initiative with a pooja to Pillaiyar (Ganesha). With the start of the new academic year, our kids will have an opportunity to make their own Ganesha in clay on Sun Aug 28 from 3 pm to 5 pm and use it for pooja the same day from 6 pm to 7:00 pm.  Sunday, Aug 28, 2022: Ganesha & Saraswathi Pooja (3 pm - 7:30 pm): In-person event It takes about 30 minutes to make one clay Ganesha. Clay, instructions, and other accessories will be provided and the kids will make the clay Ganesha at the Irvine Mandir on August 28 between 3 pm to 5 pm. We encourage you to come early so the kids have enough time to make a clay Ganesha and decorate the idol. 03:00 PM - 05:00 PM: Kids check-in and make clay Ganesha 05:00 PM - 06:00 PM: Break, snacks for kids 06:00 PM - 07:00 PM: Pillaiyar and Saraswathi pooja guided by a priest 07:00 PM - 07:30 PM: Prasadam Ticket price: $25 per kid. This includes all materials to prepare a Clay Ganesha and to perform the Pooja in-person and temple donation. You can also purchase ready-made Ganesha for the pooja for an additional $10.
