Breathwork, also known as Pranayama yoga, is a healing modality. From the Sanskrit; prana or breath is the life-force; yama is to suspend or restrain. It is a two-part breath through the mouth that opens up and activates the chakras, releases energetic blocks and takes you into a deep theta state of relaxation and healing. Pranayama breathwork brings about an inner stillness and a deep connection with the present moment and with our bodies.
Zaire Black is a breathwork facilitator who finds deep purpose in his healing work. Stemming from a 20-year background in music as well as a 12-year background in teaching and mentoring children he carries a deep ability to honor people where they are at in their healing journey and offer them a safe space to go inward to learn more about themselves.
Zaire is a graduate of David Elliot's Healer Training, and has also trained with Frankie Salazar of Behind the Lids Costa Mesa. He has been able to culminate a unique ceremonial breathwork style that allows people to feel energized, motivated, and light as they release limiting beliefs and inner blocks to awareness all through the channel of the heart space.
Honoring that each soul has its own journey, every breathwork ceremony that Zaire holds is sacred and intimately personal to the individual.
Guests may lie down or sit during the session. Attendees should bring a mat, blanket, water bottle, or anything that will support their physical comfort during a breath-guided meditation. A limited number of yoga mats are provided by Compound, but we recommend you bring your own when possible. Please arrive ten minutes early so that you have time to get comfortable.
Can't join in person? Join Zaire on Compound's IG live 9:30am - 9:45am.
