Ut på tur aldri sur! Out for a walk, never grumpy. This common saying captures the heart of Norwegians’ relationship to the outdoors. At Norway House, we’ve made it a goal to get out more often. It’s just good for the soul. This month, we’ll be out on the green at Theodore Wirth Golf Course. Many may recall our annual Golf Tournament which takes place during this time of the year. During this year of transition for Norway House, we rolled things back just a bit. Enjoy a fun, casual tournament with Norway House friends. What better way to enjoy the outdoors than over a round of golf! Come join us for a fun golf outing at beautiful Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis, followed by a happy hour at Utepils Brewery along Bassett Creek nearby. Inclement weather? We’ll be guided by another Norwegian saying: Det finnes ikke dårlilg vær, bare dårlige klær. There’s no bad weather, only bad clothing! The tournament will be a “best ball scramble,” and Hole 12 will feature a “Closest to the Pin on Second Shot” contest in memory of our dear friend Jon Pederson. Golfers are welcome to come a little early to enjoy lunch at the cafe on-site. First tee time begins at 1:00pm Tickets $75 | General Admission $65 | Norway House Members Includes tee time and cart rental.
