Description
The Gulf Coast Mental Health Summit 2022 focuses on the mental health disparities in minority communities (Mobile and Baldwin Counties)Gulf Coast Mental Health Coalition WHO WE ARE: The Gulf Coast Mental Health Coalition is the only trauma-informed community network in the gulf coast region that provides communications, education and advocacy for mental health and mental wellness. We use a trauma-informed care approach to this conference. We want real answers from everyday people who provide needed service for everyday challenges among those we serve. Our membership is open to individuals, businesses, nonprofit organizations, health care facilities, mental health partners and direct service agencies, faith-based affiliations, education, government, and families who are interested in making a difference in our mental health and mental wellness by bridging the gap with 'real talk'. Our coalition committee chose a different direction from 2020-2022 by providing needed support for community organizations and health care facilities providing direct services to consumers. Now, GCMHC is returning to create a safe conversation space for everyone so that we can resume bridging the gaps and building a regional network between all entities related to mental health and mental wellness, both traditional and complementary.OUR SUMMIT: The 2022 summit focuses on the mental health disparities that exist within the minority communities in Baldwin and Mobile Counties.
