To learn more visit us online at Under the supervisor of the Community Administrator, the Maintenance II position is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of the property at the Palomar Apartments Affordable Family Housing location. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform service requests per work orders. Assist with apartment turnover procedures, including painting units as directed. Make regular inspections of grounds, buildings, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances and major equipment. Complete painting projects as assigned; maintain all painting equipment and supplies. Advise supervisor of work in progress as well as work that needs to be done. Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment and supplies. May be responsible for grounds maintenance to include mowing, fertilization and watering of lawn, as requested. Assist with other projects as assigned by the supervisor. Credentials, Experience and Education: Three to five (3-5) years experience in general maintenance including heating, air conditioning, electrical and plumbing equipment, building interior and exterior painting and carpentry. High School diploma or G.E.D. Must be able to perform emergency maintenance as requested. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be capable of using extension ladder to access roof, windows, and siding to make repairs as needed, and to paint interior and exterior walls and ceilings. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
