In collaboration with the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and AILA's Wisconsin Chapter, Soberalski Immigration Law is excited to host AILA's Annual Citizenship Day in Milwaukee, WI, on Saturday, September 17th, 2022! Citizenship Day is a single-day nationwide event hosted by AILA chapters and their local grassroots partners across the country. AILA helps thousands of eligible lawful permanent residents apply for U.S. naturalization each year on AILA's Citizenship Day. General eligibility requirements for naturalization include: Be at least 18 years of age;Be a lawful permanent resident (green card holder);Have resided in the United States as a lawful permanent resident for at least five years, three years if married to a U.S. citizen and living in marital union, or under certain other circumstances;Have been physically present in the United States for at least 30 months, 18 months for one married to a U.S. Citizen;Be a person of good moral character;Be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language; Have knowledge of U.S. government and history; andBe willing and able to take the Oath of Allegiance.What you'll need to apply for naturalization Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)$725.00 filing fee for USCIS (Money Order or Check, payable to: "U.S. Department of Homeland Security." Credit Card payments are accepted. No fee with proof of active military status. Fee waivers are available for those who qualify.Social Security CardState Driver License or State I.D.Passport (Valid and expired passports)List of home addresses for the last five years and the dates you resided at these addressesList of all employment and school during the last five years (Full-time or part-time)-must include address and dates List of dates and countries visited for all the trips of 24 hours or longer that you have taken outside the United States during the last 5 years Information of current and previous spouses, including the prior spouse of your current spouse (if applicable). Provide marriage certificate(s), divorce decree(s), annulment documents, death certificate, etc...Information for all your children: Full Name, Date of Birth, Country of Birth, Current Address, A# (if applicable)If you have been arrested, detained, charged, or cited for any reason by a law enforcement officer, please ensure to provide us with any and all documents relating to the case
