Description

You are invited to the first ever grape stomping event for adults at Balistreri Vineyards! Don’t miss out on this unique, exciting experience that brings our community together to benefit A Precious Child and the Marshall Fire survivors. About the Event What is grape stomping? Dating back to the Roman Empire, grape stomping is part of the traditional method of winemaking. Rather than being crushed in a wine press or other mechanical machine, grapes are trampled by foot to release the juices so fermentation can begin. A Precious Child: A Precious Child is a nonprofit organization providing children and families challenged by poverty, abuse, neglect, or crisis situations with opportunities and resources. Since 2008, they have served more than 405,000 children in need with cradle to career support. Additionally, they assist our communities in crisis, provide critical essential goods when disaster strikes and collaborate to create long-term solutions to recovery. A Precious Child has been on the front lines of helping the survivors of the December 2021 Marshall fires in Colorado. Please visit www.APreciousChild.org to learn more. Balistreri Vineyards: Balistreri Vineyards is a family-owned and operated winery located in Denver. Their award-winning wines are traditionally handcrafted, without addition of sulfites or other chemicals. Tickets & The Full Experience: Come ready to begin the wine making process with your feet - or simply spectate, all while listening to live music and sipping on one of Balistreri's delicious wine varietals. Tours of the cellar and wine tasting will be provided by the owners of Balistreri, paired with the bountiful Italian hors d ‘oeuvres from their kitchen. The wine created from the grapes stomped at this event will be ready in 2023! Bottles and cases are available for presale now and the evening of. Fifty percent of ticket sales go directly to A Precious Child. Attire: Smart casual! If you're ready to get your feet wet, we encourage you to wear shorts or pants that can be rolled up comfortably, along with easily removable shoes. This is going to be fun! This event is by private invitation only. Questions? Please contact Sarah Newman at [email protected]
