We’re launching into hands-on rocket design, sustainable space exploration, and planet terraforming in this introduction to NASA engineering. We’re building lemon-powered lights, a DIY electromagnet, a bottle water filtration system, and recyclable paper planets. We’ll automate moon base farms, build green transport systems, and cultivate alternative fuels in the Roblox Game Studio, and control our vehicles, rockets and satellites with the Micro:bit microcontroller. We’ll even prototype real-physics rockets in Kerbal Space Program, the kid-friendly simulation used by NASA and SpaceX. Along the way, we’ll discover how to cultivate and sustain life on far-flung planets and what it takes to build a sustainable life for all beings well into the future. From clean water to sustainable farming and industry to green space travel, it’s fun to build a better world for all.
Projects Include:
Hands-on Creativity: Get your engineering creativity going with hands-on projects like lemon-powered lights, a DIY electromagnet, a bottle water filtration system, and recyclable paper planets.
Roblox World Building: Is there life on other planets? You will design and create them in new worlds that can host new life forms.
Micro:bit Microcontrollers: We’ll learn the basics of physical computing by building and programming DIY game controllers
Kerbal Space Program: Prototype real-physics rockets in the kid-friendly simulation used by NASA and SpaceX
