Modern calligraphy is the brush marker lettering style that you love & see everywhere. This class is for all levels and will be small so you can ask all the questions and get one on one instruction. We will go over the basics of brush lettering & envelope addressing/sending snail mail. You get to take home your instructions and brush pen to use for future lettering. The goal is to have two envelopes addressed and ready to mail to your loved ones when the workshop is over. This is a great workshop for all ages and experience levels. Your teacher, Amanda, has 10 years of hand lettering experience & has been teaching workshops for over 5 years. Light snacks & water *21+ Feel free to bring your own drink/wine. I will have cups available. What you need to bring: 2 addresses of a friend or family you want to surprise with some happy mail! What we’ll do: We will start the workshop talking all about calligraphy & brush lettering how to & styles. We will go over the art and “rules” of sending a letter. We will also show you different envelope addressing styles. We will have markers and other supplies for you to use freely in embellishing your envelopes. There will be plenty of time for questions & to show you personalized examples. Where is the class held? This class will be held at Archer Paper in Deep Ellum located at 2649 Main St, Dallas, TX 75226. The workshop date is Thursday September 1st from from 7 pm – 8:30 pm. What is the cost? The workshop is $55.00, including all of your take home supplies. Supplies will be ready for you at the workshop. Class will last 1 and a half hours.
