Join us on September 18th for another Most Awesome Brew Ride! We will repeat our ride from last year riding town roads, country roads, bike trails and quiet subdivisions from D and G Brewing in St. Charles to Obscurity Brewing in Elburn and back. Most of this 25 mile route has very little traffic and not too many hills. We will head straight out Dean Street to the Great Western Trail. A quick dogleg on Brown Road into quiet subdivisions with winding roads will take us to the western end of Campton Hills Road then down Anderson Road into the back end of downtown Elburn to Obscurity Brewing’s beer garden. Please follow all traffic signs and rules of the road when biking on roads and observe good trail etiquette when on the Great Western Trail. While most of the roads will be quiet roads, Dean Street and Anderson can have heavy traffic. There are also a couple street crossings, one at Rt. 64 and another at Rt. 47, that also could have a lot of cross-traffic. Use extreme caution when crossing both roads. D and G will be open around 10am in case anyone needs to use the facilities before their ride. Riders will head out in intervals starting at 11am. At our halfway point, you will be able to purchase food (and hopefully a delicious Smoked Bloody Mary), enjoy a few tasty brews, mix and mingle. We will enjoy Obscurity’s hospitality for a short while then head back to D and G the way we came. Alex will have a food truck with food to purchase and live music to celebrate our great ride. Please remember to tip your waitstaff and bartenders. They’re coming in early to do an awesome job for you. Registration for our second 2022 Most Awesome Brew Ride is $25. For that fee you will get a planned and marked route, route maps and sag support. You will also get one free beer ticket from each brewery (additional beers and food purchases will be up to you), a water bottle and a $20 gift card from The Bike Rack. You can also pre-purchase a ride t-shirt for $15 before the day of the ride. Ride shirts can also be bought day-of the event for $20 both before and after the ride at D and G. Registration is limited to 150 people so sign up now to reserve your space for a fun day of riding. Most Awesome Brew Ride is a Rain-or-Shine event. Dress according to the weather.
