"Black Humans Evolving was created to shed light on the shadow existing behind the recent overturn of abortion rights: the lack of informacy and increase in misinformation for most women, and men, in the US, when it comes to understanding their reproductive organs and anatomy, let alone alternative + natural contraceptives and reproductive rights. This is an opportunity to transform the conditioned way of relating to our bodies and masculine + feminine cycles to an intentional way of relating through relearning the medicine of our Black female and male ancestors. Education is the answer to our problems and a staple for a bright future." **The event will begin at 9 am for those that desire to have breakfast before the workshop portion begins at 10:30am. *The breakfast vendor on site will be: TBD/TBA on Instagram (follow @weavingwomban) We will go into the workshop with icebreaker activities and then get into the learning portion which consists of videos, a light presentation and lots of discussion opportunity time. Each attendee will have the opportunity to express their current relationship and understanding of their reproductive organs whether male or female. What Topics You Can Expect: -The Anatomy of The Female Reproductive System -The Follicular Phase of the Feminine Cycle -The Male Cycle Explained -The Process of Fertilization and Implantation -The Black History of Herbalism for Contraception and Fertility Health Each attendee will receive a resource guide/handout to take home and refer to for Black reproductive health support.
